    Zack Snyder Talks Superman...Again

Zack Snyder was present in London at the "Forbidden Planet Megastore" to promote "Sucker Punch" and put pen to paper with some autographs but of course the subject of Superman was bound to come up, right?

LeicesterSquareTV questioned the director about the casting process and attempted to squeeze the upcoming villian out of him. I bet this guy can't wait to start directing Superman so he can't take a time out from the same questions over and over again.

    Amy Adams Talks Lois Lane

There has been a lot of back and forth by the not so forgiving fanboys in regards to whether or not Adams is a good choice to play Lois Lane in "Superman Starts". The majority of forum dwellers are for Adams, but there is still a vocal minority rooting against her.

One of the arguments is that Adams, who they view as the sweet girl next door in most movies, will not be able to take on the modern sassy Lois Lane. They must not have seen "The Fighter".

The LA Times was able to catch up with Adams at CinemaCon and it sounds liek she is ready to bring the noise as Lois.

"I think the role of women in society constantly changes, and what I love about Lois Lane is that she's been very consistently strong, successful, independent. I'm very attracted to that. It was a time when women were really - I don't want to make some grand statement because I know it will come across as a grand statement - but [women were often limited by society then and] what I loved about her was that she was able to be smart and be feminine and I think that that's something I know I'm going to teach my daughter, that you don't have to be a man to be powerful. You can be a powerful woman."

Thanks To "Wilde" From The SuperHeroHype Forums for the manip.

Justice League Won't Feature Henry Cavill's Superman?!

What we have here is a failure to communicate. Or perhaps a case where things are so early and jumbled that not everyone is 100% in sync at the moment.

The good folks over at Hey! U Guys were able to grab director Zack Snyder for a quick minute at the Sucker Punch UK premiere, and the subject turned to not Superman: The Man of Steel surprisingly, but the recently announced Justice League movie.

When that news broke the other day, we all assumed if Christian Bale's Batman wouldn't be utilized (something I'm still not 100% sold will go down) then Henry Cavill's Superman and Ryan Reynolds' Green Lantern would fill that slot of pre-established superheroes in help secure asses in seats; assuming TMOS and GL are the mega-blockbusters Warner Brothers is hoping.

Not so according to director Snyder:

In that Hero Complex article that elaborated on the mater, they openly acknowledged one of the key reasons Justice League: Mortal died was because it was deemed too confusing for general audiences (not to mention, you know retarded as fuck) to have two separate actors portraying Batman with the intention of doing multiple films. All concurrently.

So with that in mind, do I think Warner Brothers will repeat that same mistake for this hypothetical Justice League movie? No.

With all due respect to Snyder, his goal right now is on making one Superman movie and, most importantly, one that works. Cavill has without question signed a multi-picture contract, and there's no rhyme nor reason why he wouldn't be slotted in if it helped the box-office prospects of Justice League.

This also just plain doesn't gel with common sense and logic. WB is going to spend a lot of money pushing Cavill as the new Superman leading up to the reboot's release next Christmas. They already have, as a matter of fact; that EW cover-story awhile back. They're not going to go through all that hard work and dough just to turn around and get someone else as the Man of Steel a year or two later in addition to a possible Man of Steel sequel. That's way too confusing for everyone; general movie-goers and us nerds.

Matthew Bomer Talks Testing For Superman

I've been a pretty big fan of Matthew Bomer since is run on "Chuck" and his performance on "White Collar" did nothing but justify it for me. When I found out he was actually up again this time around for Superman, I did experience a bit of sadness that he didn't land the role.

That being said, Cavill is Superman, and I can roll with that, plus we'll always have Bomer's take on Superman in those Japanese Toyota Prius commercials.

Check out the video interview below where Bomer talks about testing for Superman during the "Pre-Superman Returns" days and Snyder's "Superman Starts". Another interesting note is that Bomer actually read with current Lois Lane Amy Adams during his most recent test. Which means she has been on The Brothers Warner radar for month.

Alberta Loses Superman Due To Lack Of Firepower

The report that Superman is to film in Chicago makes a lot of sense considering this is where The Brothers Nolan & The Brothers Warner previously let Batman dismantle the bad guys. However, it probably feels like a slap in the face to Alberta, Canada. If only they made their really expensive and massive military weaponry available. According to the Toronto Sun and Lindsay Blackett, the province's minister of culture and community spirit, that is exactly what happened.

"From what I understand (the production) needed aircraft carriers and the Canadian military doesn't have those. They needed attack helicopters and things like that and we just don't have them and the U.S. was willing to give them whatever they wanted. Not competitiveness, not our crews, not location, not the amount of money or anything like that -- it was just down to the hard assets."
